Northern Afghanistan is renowned for producing some of the country’s finest hash. While more people have heard of Balkh and Mazar I Sharif, Sheberghan also produces exceptionally high-quality sifted hashish.
Sheberghan Hash Plant is an original Hash Plant.
Regular Sheberghan Hash Plant calms the mind and relaxes the muscles. Because it’s a landrace with rich genetic diversity, potency varies depending on the phenotype. Therefore, the high can range from mild to quite potent!
As with most landrace hashplant varieties, Sheberghan expresses a wide range of cannabinoids. Some specimens are CBD-dominant, some are full-spectrum with a balanced ratio of THC and CBD, and others are THC-dominant.
Most plants have a pleasant, earthy, hashy smell with subtle Skunk notes during flowering. While not overly pungent, the herb is very flavorful, suggesting a high sesquiterpene content. It’s a very sweet flavor that coats the mouth and throat and lingers for quite a while.
A robust Indica

This easy-to-grow, beginner-friendly strain is a true native Hash Plant strain that produces leafy buds covered in sticky trichomes. Most plants display the typical broad Indica leaflets. However, some phenotypes can show quite narrow leaflets.
These plants are medium feeders. However, they require higher nutrient levels than most native strains, not as much as most modern cannabis hybrids.
This Landrace can thrive even when temperatures are very high or very low. While the Sheberghan Hash Plant can handle significant temperature changes, it requires the relative humidity (RH) to be low during the flowering phase. Indeed, the autumn season is very dry in the Jowzjan province.
Landrace Genetics personally collected seeds in the Jowzjan province near the city of Sheberghan in 2018.
The Khalifa team therefore worked to adapt this strain for indoor cultivation by reducing hermaphroditism and decreasing the amount of unwanted phenotypes while preserving most of the genetic diversity.
